“Google gives preference to businesses that have a completed profile,” Crisafi explains. “This includes listing payment types accepted, hours of operation and the inclusion of images and video.”
The next task, according to Crisafi, is to utilize the business description by adding keywords relevant to the business and the services offered. Similarly, he suggests that companies list as many business categories as possible when creating a business profile for “Google Local.”
“Of course, it should go without saying that every business profile should include an address and phone number as well,” says Crisafi. “These are just a few steps that a business can take to in ensure a good chance at appearing in the local search results and gaining an edge over its competitors.”
