Blogs are all the rage these days.

New blogs are cropping up every day and it seems that almost everyone is blogging. If you are a business owner looking to boost your online presence, there are many benefits to having your own blog.

If your Internet marketing strategy relies heavily on search engine traffic, having a blog is an absolute must.

Search engine optimization plays an important role in boosting your search engine rankings. A blog is a great way to
support your optimization efforts.

Here are a few of the ways that a blog can boost your efforts:

' Blog content can be keyword optimized.
' Your posts can be used to boost internal linking.
' Aside from posts, there are many other areas that can be optimized, including categories, tags and descriptions.
' Adding photos and videos to your blog posts offer additional optimization opportunities.
' Search engines value fresh content and regular blogging offers just that.

Blog posts give you fresh content to post to your social media channels and drive additional traffic to your website. You can even invite guest bloggers to post on your blog, which can help expose your business to their online audiences.

Relationship Building

Blogs open a new line of communications for businesses.

With a blog, current and potential customers, as well as industry partners, can post comments and ask questions. Blogs are a great way to foster connections and gain valuable insight.

Obviously, blogging can also help to increase interactions within your social media channels.

As your posts get shared socially, a channel opens up for you to interact with individuals or organizations that you may not have been in contact with otherwise. Relationship building becomes much easier with a blog.

The bottom line is that your business can benefit from having a blog. If you currently don't have one, it is time to get on the bandwagon and include a blog as part of your Internet marketing campaign.

The world's largest social networking website, Facebook, has announced that it is on the verge of establishing Asia's largest cloud computing data center in the Central Taiwan Science Park, in Taiwan, which will bring billions of dollars to the region and make the country one of the largest cloud-computing centers in the world.

Facebook's new cloud computing data center will occupy more than 720,000 square feet of space, according to reports. While the company plans to take care of the software side of the data center, it says it will purchase servers directly from Taiwanese contract manufacturers, bypassing brand suppliers and cutting costs dramatically.

Since Facebook's announcement, officials from the Central Taiwan Science Park have not confirmed the company's plan. However, Google has also announced that it will establish a cloud-computing center in Taiwan, as well.

The announcement by Google and Facebook that they are investing in Taiwan has been hailed as 'encouraging' by the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs, which has long said that it plans to develop Taiwan into what it calls an 'Asia-Pacific Information Logistics Center.' Government officials say they expect the plan to generate more than $100 billion for the economy there.

Price is always a variable when it comes to developing a website for our clients. We do a lot of work for small businesses and all small businesses have budget constraints that make them sensitive to every dollar that they have to spend.

Because the cost of a website can vary so much, it is helpful to identify the items that can raise the price, before getting into the specifics. If your goal is to keep costs down, you need to consider the following:

Content Management Systems

A content management system (CMS) is software that allows you, the website owner, to make edits to your website without the help of a website development expert. A good CMS is important for websites that need a lot of updating. If your site will remain relatively static, you can do without a CMS. If that's the case, you might be able to save money by opting out of a CMS, but it may cost money down the road when you look to update your website.

Website Hosting

All websites need to be hosted, which simply means that you need to rent server space so that your website is visible online. Hosting is now cheaper than ever and a good mid-range, small website hosting plan can cost between $20 and $60 per month, depending on a few variables. You can go as cheap as $5 a month, but quality can suffer when you go that low. Take into account hosting costs before you move forward with the development of a website.

Software Integration

When you combine some operational elements of your business with your online presence, you can save a ton of money. For example, if you pay $100 a month for time-clock software and your website development team can add that feature to your website for $600, you have saved $600 for the year and you have consolidated your software so you only have to use one service instead of two.

These are not the only areas that can contribute to pricing. Don't be afraid to ask your website development team about other ways that they can help your business save money.
